Software

Winamp is the best free mp3 player; customize it with skins, visualizations and plug ins!! If you're going to do any serious ripping or burning, use MusicMatch (link above). I've actually switched over completely to MusicMatch Plus, but I still support Winamp. Besides, the custom banner is kinda cute.
Flash Renamer is an excellent mass file renamer. I think the guy now charges like $15 for it, but it's really worth the price if you do a lot of file renaming.	Tag & Rename is the ultimate mp3 ID tagging/renaming software. Costs about $30 & worth it.
Powerdesk is free and replaces (shames) Windows Explorer. $30 will upgrade you to the Pro version for some nice extra features.	Ad-Aware is a free spyware removal tool. Get Ref-update, too!!
Agent is the best newsgroup reader hands down; $30 upgrade to full version.	Trillian allows you to log on to ALL your Instant Messengers at once!!
